I am happy to welcome you to the Weekly Osho Study Group.
My name is Suzan, and I have been studying Osho's commentary about the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, called The Book of Secrets, for many years. (For newcomers, this is not related in any way to any other Book of Secrets ideology associated with Laws of Abundance.)
This blog is my attempt to connect with other people who appreciate Osho's outlook on meditation and life in general and to create a forum where we may exchange ideas about what we are learning from the study of the tantra. I have benefited most from a systematic study, so I am sharing it here.
The Book of Secrets has eighty (80) chapters. My hard cover version has almost 1200 pages. So, for the purpose of an organized study, I have divided the book into 52 parts - one section for each week of the year. The format of the study is to read the assigned pages of the text, make notes about anything that is meaningful or that you have questions about, answer the ten questions presented in the week's lesson, and finally to record what the week's teaching means to you that you can take away with you.
I am launching this blog in the 26th week of the year corresponding to June 30. Therefore the material I will be including first will be about Chapter 41, Tantric methods for awareness and nonjudgment, pages 577 - 590.
I have provided a four-page study sheet as a link on the home page of my blog. The first of those pages is for making notes as you read. The second and third pages provide space to answer the ten questions I will be posing about the material each week, and on the last page of the worksheet there is an area to write what you are taking away from the material. At the bottom of that page, there is a special area for any quotes you'd like to write down for easy reference. If you print a few sets ahead of time, you will always be ready for the next section.
If you have any questions, please contact me. This study is for your benefit, but I am hoping that you will comment on what you are learning and will share your jewels with all of us.
Thank you for joining me,
Suzan
